As is the case with most patriotic Americans, I do not like hipsters.
Since the Teapot Dome scandal, hipsters have conspired to undermine all that is good about our way of life. The Teapot Dome scandal, of course, was when a group of flannel-clad “revolutionaries” duped our beloved President Harding’s Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall into awarding single-bid contracts for undeveloped oil lands. Secretary Fall later found a pile of money when it fell off the back of a truck. Pitchfork gave the scandal a 9.3/10.
Not surprisingly, hipsters also do not like other hipsters, perhaps the only thing on which we can agree. Much like the movie The Lake House, in which Keanu falls in love with Sandra Bullock not due to an explosive bus, but a time-travelling mailbox, they don’t make a whole lot of sense to me. This video sums it up pretty well:

That being said, the movie (500) Days of Summer is the pinnacle of hipster achievement, at least since Vinny Testaverde rallied the Jets from a 23-point deficit on Monday Night Football. Dopey soundtrack, lot of skinny jeans and ties, and Wes Anderson has a cameo as a man who runs a store where you can burn the Constitution if you want to. But, the movie was very funny, even poignant at times. Proud to say I liked it.
